 11 dolphins have died on the sea boundary of Wilpattu National Parks on 8th January 


Department of Wildlife Conservation officials inspected the area and according to information received from the Mollikulama Site Security Office, the dolphin species has been identified as Common bottlenose dolphins. The cause of the death is still unknown and samples of the bodies have been taken to University of Peradeniya for further investigation.
